About Ballet Bitterroot
Ballet Bitterroot Performing Arts, Inc. is a non-profit children's performing art company.  Long after dancers leave our studio we hope that they have been left with the gift of poise, strength and grace.  At Ballet Bitterroot Performing Arts, Inc. we work hard to give our students solid technique with a creative edge. Strong discipline and positive attitudes are promoted. Our more advanced dancers are regularly informed of scholarship opportunities, which can advance their dance career

Our Mission
Our mission is to give children an opportunity to experience the performing arts firsthand. We offer productions that involve many forms of dancing, while focusing on productions appropriate for young audiences. In doing this, we hope that the children will walk away with the discipline and polite etiquette that have been part of the beautiful dance tradition for centuries.

Our Teachers

Char Pigman's training started at age twelve in California. She became very serious immediately, and by the age sixteen began touring with a performing company. She continued to dance and tour with a number of companies, including the Santa Clara Ballet and Los Gatos Ballet. She has performed in many wonderful roles, such as Anne in "The Diary of Anne Frank" and as a soloist in "Les Sylphides". She spent two years living and taking classes in England. Char has taught ballet over the past thirty years.
